Create a New Dial-Up Networking Connection
If you'd like to edit an existing connection, skip to here
- Click the Start button, go to Settings
- Click Network and Dial-up Connections
- Double click Make New Connection
- The Network Connection Wizard will begin, click Next
- Choose Dial-up to the Internet
- Choose I want to setup my Internet connection manually
- Choose I connect through a phone line and modem
- In the Area code and Telephone number text boxes, type your
local
Bway access number.
- Enter your username and password
Your
username is the first part of your email address, before the "@" sign.
(ex.
for username@bway.net).
- Under Connection name, type Connection to bway.net
- Next, the wizard may ask you to set up your email for Outlook Express. If you need assistance doing this click here
You can now access this connection by going to Start - Settings - Network and Dial-up Connections and double clicking it. If you would like a shortcut to this connection on your desktop, just drag it there.
