Richmond Or Bust

We became the New York Regiment, the Fire Zouaves 84th Company, music and color bearer, Platoon A. We marched off to Richmond, called The Confederate Capital. Unfortunately, we passed through Baltimore on our way to conquer the enemy. At first I thought they were happy to see us. The Baltimorians tossed fruit and useful things like wood sticks that we could use as campfire materials. But after a few direct hits to my brand new uniform with tomatoes, I began to feel suspicious.
