  This is great stuff that I think someone will be glad I pointed out:

  TOTAL URBAN ACCESS is a page that gives you all sorts of ideas about what to do in New York, what shows to see, which exhibits are running, what bands are playing, etc. It has lots of cultural high points to explore.
  

  Hot Stuff--Bands This great audio site is a smorgasbord for your ears, from blues to folk, from heavy metal to lighter fare. (You knew I was gonna work it in there, somewhere.) If I had the time to go out and see more live music, here's how I would choose what to attend. It might feel skewed a bit towards the New York area, but not much more than the industry at large already is, and you can get info here about national acts and many other regions as well.
