Check out these sounds:

Radio Paradise -- You can use pretty much any audio player you want and no registration is required. Modern adult alternative rock radio - Remy Zero, Ryan Adams, Neko Case, mixed with the familiar - U2, Neil Young. A good go-to station.TECHNO, HIPHOP, ELECTRONICA

World Music
It's the WORLD Wide Web, the sounds of World Music are at DJ Gerg's Reggae Jams and Emeagwali -- a list of links to African web radio!. Also check out Bolivia Radio -- Bolivian artists such as Rafael Arias and Pacha.
Satellite Radio
Satellite Radio - it ain't cheap, but it's good. There are two services out there: XM and Sirius. They're both great sources of new music. Again, you have to pay a monthly fee, but you can get free trials at their websites.
Personalized Radio - many new sites offer you the chance to set up your own personal radio stations - FOR FREE! Three of my favorites are: Pandora, Last FM and Slacker. You type in the names of artists who you like and then you get a stream of that artist as well as others who are similar. These three services work surprisingly well.
Squeezing Out Sparks -- Devoted to 1970s British new waver Graham Parker. Parker's latest CD, "Platinum Bastard" is being sold exclusively over the internet.
A great place for Tori Amos news -- Undented
