Entry Form
What is 'Underground'?
We believe that's
something best left for filmmakers to answer for themselves. When selecting
films for exhibition, we seek to go beyond what mainstream venues show
to present works of an innovative, subversive, uncompromising, adventurous
and at times controversial nature. The NYUFF exists to support and promote
films that push boundaries and break new ground -- that challenge, entertain
and provoke.
How to Enter
Entries must be submitted
on 1/2" videocassette. Cassettes must be NTSC format only. All films in
languages other than English must be subtitled or dubbed in English, unless
dialogue is non-essential to comprehension and appreciation.
Each film or video
must be accompanied by a completed entry
form (photocopies are acceptable) and an entry fee. Checks should
be made out to: FILMCORE. Directors who have screened in previous
editions of the NYUFF may waive the entry free.
Entry fees
$30 for all formats
if received by January 1, 2000; $35 if received by January 15, 2000.
Shipping
Cost of shipping to
the festival is covered by the entrant. Shipping must be prepaid. Collect
or COD shipments without prior arrangements cannot be accepted. Each tape
must be marked in English with the title of the entry. Entrant's identification
must be on the case and the tape. Please use only plastic or bubble-pack
cases when shipping entries - no fiber cases please!
All entries must
be mailed to:
